Notoriously, wanted and relentless. Initially, Whydah was used to transport slaves during the Golden Age. In the year 1717, Whydah was hijacked by Captain Black Sam and his loyal pirate crew – whose reputation for looting treasures from more than 50 large merchant ships was familiar to all. However, it ended abruptly for Captain Black Sam and his pirate crew as they were hit by a deadly storm, sinking Whydah to the bottom of the ocean. Only 2 men out of 146 survived. The legend continues as Whydah and its treasures are still somewhere deep beneath the 7 world seas – Anne Ditte
